
Small Restaurants – Ontario Building Code Compliance
Can a BCIN designer prepare drawings for a small restaurant?
Small restaurants have some relaxed code provisions that fall under Part 9 of the Ontario Building Code. However, designs still need to be prepared to Part 3 of the Ontario Building Code meaning a BCIN designer cannot prepare drawings for any restaurant whether small or large.
If you are planning a restaurant project then you must contact an architect or engineer for your project.

Project Profile: Using Carbon Fibre to Restore Brockville’s Sabre Jet Memorial
The Sabre Jet located on the waterfront in Brockville, Ontairo is a memorial to Royal Canadian Air Force Members and was built in 1968.
The monument requires a new pier to support the Golden Hawk jet. Instead of doing a costly replacement, our team recommended it be reinforced with a Carbon Fibre wrap.
